VIENNA, August 01, 2019 - Peace Museum Romania, the first Peace Museum in South-Eastern Europe and the also the first mobile Peace Museum in the world, has opened in Vienna. As of August 1, 2019, the personalities of Romania that have contributed throughout history, to the consolidation of peace and the defense of fundamental human rights will be on show at Peace Museum Vienna. Among these prominent personalities of Romania's history are: Alexandru Ioan Cuza, King Ferdinand, Ion I.C.Brătianu, Nicolae Titulescu, King Mihai I, Corneliu Coposu.

The founder of the Peace Museum Romania, Ms. Magdalena C. BUTUCEA said: “I am very happy to be in Vienna with the exhibition of Peace Museum Romania. Both the interested public in Vienna and tourists from all over the world will have the opportunity to know some of Romania's personalities and the positive and significant roles they have played, not only in the history of Romania, but also of Europe. In an increasingly divided and disoriented world, such an endeavor is a necessary one as it invites us to reflect and find positive solutions for a better future. The goal of the Peace Museum Romania is: disseminating information about peace by presenting the activity of some personalities of the world who contributed to its maintenance. The right to peace is inextricably linked to the right to life, a fundamental right of the human being. "

APMR2lso, during the exhibition of the Peace Museum Romania, there will be daily Peace Education courses with students and the interested public, between 11 am - 6 pm. The courses are supported by the museum's founder and other international peace activists, who have expressed their views the desire to participate in the activities of the Peace Museum Romania.

Among the main topics that will be discussed in the Peace Education courses, are:

  1. I. PEACE: Concept; Types of Peace (Positive Peace; Negative Peace); Universal Declaration of Human Rights (Paris, 1948); European Convention on Human Rights (Rome, 1950);
  2. II. WAR: Concept; Types of war: Economic warfare, Diplomatic warfare, Information warfare, Psychological warfare, Psychological warfare, Biological warfare, Ecological warfare, Chemical warfare, Nuclear warfare;

III. GEOPOLITICAL TRANSFORMATIONS AND THE ACTORS OF THE INTERNATIONAL SCENE. THE NEW CHALLENGES

  1. IV. ENVIRONMENTAL PEACE AND THE NEW ERA OF JOURNALISM. TRENDS
  2. V. PRESENTATION OF THE PERSONALITIES OF THE WORLD THAT HAVE CONTRIBUTED TO PEACE AND THE DEFENSE OF HUMAN RIGHTS.

Also, alongside Peace Museum Romania a painting exhibition, "Symbols of Peace", is being organized. The art work on show was created by the founder of the museum, Magdalena C.Butucea.
